Before I hit the EXPO at this year’s Arnold Sports Festival, I hooked up with some of my fellow FitFluential ambassadors and GNC (our event sponsor) for breakfast. That’s Kelly Olexa, the amazing FitFluential CEO herself, in the front. Every year when I cover the Arnold, I’m on the lookout for interesting new products, but one thing never changes…
It’s packed like sardines! They were expecting 175,000 people to attend this year. Still, I managed to get around and check out some of the 700 booths. Yes, 700!
I met fitness model, Jamie Eason at the Arnold four years ago, and we’ve stayed in touch ever since. It’s always so great to see her.
That’s five-time winner of the Fitness International competition, Adela Garcia in the middle… and fellow FitFluential ambassador, Lisa Balash, on the right.
Don’t these look interesting? They are YogaToes – they stretch and strengthen your foot muscles and relieve foot pain. I did not try them, but I hear Dr. Oz is a fan.
Apparently, headbands are all the rage this year. There were at least three different headband booths at the EXPO! Lots of colors and patterns, and all were “guaranteed not to slip.”
I was most excited about this booth. It’s a new grocery chain called Earth Fare that is coming soon to Columbus. The stores do not carry any products with high fructose corn syrup, trans fats, artificial colors and sweeteners, or synthetic growth hormones. And they pride themselves on keeping prices low. Looking forward to shopping there.
And of course, I’m looking forward to next year’s Arnold, and all the interesting products and people I’m sure I’ll see.
